I think we should celebrate a holiday. MKF-day.
Both teams would meet in the center of ambush map and form a circle. Then three knife fighters for each side go to the middle. The knife fighting would go until the game ends and to the victors go the spoils. If a knife fighter is especially skilled and gets the most kills from the duels, then the other players can donate their match winnings to the champion.
Ideally this event would last an hour or two and would require the true courage from all participants, as no one would be allowed to discharge a round.
Does anyone want to make this happen?

No, the idea is to make it an dust/eve wide event. I would want everyone to know about it. And hence during a certain time frame people would participate. I suppose since it is ambush only, if someone didn't want to participate they could temporarily play a different game mode.
All we have to do is support this, and get the community interested in staging some kind of event and playing. To prevent griefers we could hold the event in maps with towers and have proto forge body guards. I think that sounds super fun.

You mean donate a district to battle in? That would be sweet!
I had this idea a little bit ago that there should be a game mode where the pool of players is drawn from a single chat channel that you participate in. Or from a selection of channels, not only would this benefit people looking for a more specific challenge, but it would allow special games and player held events.
