increase the passive scan radius of tanks but lower their precision so they don't pick up dropsuits, only other tanks and installations. these are the main targets for tanks it would make sense that their sensors would be able to pick them up at some range.
also I am tired of MLT railguns sneaking up on me, they're tanks they aren't supposed to be sneaky.

Sure, why no give them an EMP too that freezes all enemies in the scan area. Brilliant. They are OP as is.

the other solution to the problem would be to reduce the RoF of railguns so that shield tankers have a chance to harden before they pop. personally I thought it was a rather diplomatic solution.
