Demand CCP fix coms servers and equipment spam.
I think dropping to four to six channels
Getting mostly people from your country in the PC
and defragging your PS3 helps

Leave battle then rejoin its clears the lag for me when I get a serious fps drop. |

Step 1: Form your squads in advance
Step 2: Join War Barge as soon as it opens
Step 3: Once in the WB and able to walk around, leave squad.
Step 4: Hold PS button and power down
Step 5: Count to 10
Step 6: Reboot and sign in
Step 7: Go straight into PC match
Step 8: should still give you 90 to 120 seconds to get ready and reform squads
Step 9: Play

A full system restart seems to still be the best thing. It's best if you've planned ahead so that you had enough time to schedule a mandatory reset for all players at about 8 minutes before the game goes live. Give it a moment before you restart it.
De-fragmenting your PS3 surely helps. I know people who do it once a week.
If you're fighting someone living in a different region as your team is then it helps to try to get your region's server selected. This isn't necessary if your enemy lives in generally the same regions as you. It's selected when all players join for the first time. If you don't join the match when the rest of the players do then you won't be counted. It determines what server the majority of players are closest to, and only the physical location of each player matters. It has nothing to do with what server any of the players have set as their primary server in their settings. If you know that your team is spread too heavily over different regions, then you can be somewhat assured that if the enemy has not spread themselves out then they will get their region's server. |

I have one, and I still experience lag almost every PC match -- particularly inside the city.
How do I deal with it? I disconnect and reconnect -- that sometimes helps. But generally, I just take it on the chin and try to not let it bother me.

The thing is both people get the lag. Not even so much one side more than the other. Other factors do matter quite significantly as well as which side worked to get less lag.
Also, if you field players of the corp your fighting for then you can rejoin the game. If you simply leave the game and rejoin the lag will usually disappear entirely for a while or possibly the entire game. No restart of your system or relog required. You don't even need to leave the squad to do it.
