It's been a little while since he's been installed, and from all the feedback I've been able to receive, Uprising 1.7 is a successful update, and I think that has a large part to do with the fact that this was the patch where the CPM had the biggest amount of input to date.
But is it also because of the EP? Have you guys gotten a chance to talk with him, or see his agenda? Has he made tangible changes to the DUST team that are making things better, in your opinion?
Or is all of this under NDA? D: |

Alot is stull very much NDA, but I can tell you that if he does all the things he is talking about doing that dust514 has a bright future. With him at the helm, I am quite optimistic.
You can find more thoughts on him on my video Dust 514 past present and future on my youtube channel

No doubt changing the direction of the game will mean that our new EP needs some time to get all his ducks in a row.
I'm going to be keeping a close eye on 1.8 as i'm speculating that CCP Rouge was directly involved in setting priorities. Is that a fair assumption?
I support SP rollover.

Is that a fair assumption? being the EP, yes that would be a fair assumption, though he has also been talking to us loads and asking for feedback unlike the last EP who i think we spoke to twice, once at fanfest and once when **** really hit the fan. Rouge has been a welcome change.

Thanks a bunch for your reply Jenza! I'll certainly be checking out your youtube video :D
Also, I'm glad that CCP Rouge has been giving you guys the skinny on what's happening in CCP Shanghai, and his plan for DUST. Without going into too many specifics, would you say he's made quite a few changes? Or has he stayed the course, so to speak?
As a follow up, can you give me any specific priorities he has for DUST? Does he think CCP Shanghai needs more people? Has he decided game/equipment balance is a good objective? Or is that still under NDA?
Sorry if I'm asking too many questions, I'm just quite curious about the effect Rouge has been having on CCP Shanghai. |

I don't think we can safely answers here at the moment and it would best served if he answered them.

CCP's New Year Resolutions for Dust if you will. I mentioned this on Twitter so thought I'd echo it here -- you guys will be seeing a lot from CCP Rouge in the future and he's really keen to interact directly with the Community. He's still getting settled but there'll be a lot of facetime from him once we have exciting stuff to share. :)

He seems to be a genuine and passionate person. We have met with him about half a dozen times. At this point I think he's going to be good for Dust, but I'm still skeptical and it's going to be more about results and actions to dispel that skepticism.

Would you say that the new EP is going to push more for community ideas that have been presented by the CPM, Community ideas that have been voted up quite highly, or push in ideas that have worked for other FPS's that are general enough to not be considered IP theft?
I know this very much sounds like a loaded question, but its an honest one that I really would like to know the answer to, because I have just thrown my hat in the ring for CPM1, and would like to know that if I do get the position, how much of what I do will be considered towards improving the game?

Not to be rude but I don't care about exciting stuff, I care about involvement and communication. He could come on here and troll 75% of the time and I wouldn't care. What I personally want to see is involvement and passion. Being involved creates a feeling of family that is sometimes lacking on these forums. Again, I don't want to be rude but I do want a little more developer anything on the forums. I don't like the IRC because it feels like a bunch of big headed mercs trying to push agendas and ideas or trying to get a dev to comment in the thread that they just posted and that is why I don't frequent IRC. I do think it has its moments but it seems more like a bunch of politicians patting each other on the back instead of involving their entire constituency. If you want to have a public live chat do it in game in a channel not on some website that requires yet another open browser tab.
