You have to run with PRO all the time to do scout as well, but Hp is too low for ADV/STD. CCP i need your eyes on the scout i hope you guys keep up this topic for who as me want a good basic HP. |

Remember We have 4/12 known Light frames.
BUT we only have 3/12 Heavy frames in the game - Which are inherently linked to specialist weapons(excluding the commando's of course) - of which we're missing at least half of them (not assuming that there will be AV and AP weapons for each race)
Yes, Light frames do need their roles more clearly defined. The latest Dev Blog outlines some really promising ideas. Including a massive systems increase - If your wearing pyjamas you should at least be able to equip anything you want, no questions asked, with our limited slots.
But I digress. The point being is that Heavy frames have far more content needed for their class first Just look at how messed up the loyalty store is for them - All weapons and armour in different races hands (in fact the HMG and the suit are in completely opposed racial groups, which is downright ridiculous.
Besides. At CCP Vegas they said Heavies were ready while the Lights needed a little tweak. SO I expect they get first dibs for an update.

HP is the last thing scouts need. With more HP we'll just become light assaults, instead of being our own individual class. What we need is more stuff so we don't need HP. i.e. more speed (both running and sprinting); low enough profile to avoid scanners of equal level without mods; more CPU so we can actually fit our suits with decent gear. Those are the main things anyway.
If what you want is a speedy assault, just go put some kinetic catalyzers on your assault suit.

I run a Minmatar Assault with 1 Enhanced Kincat. Thing sprints at 8.5
@ OP Also, scouts need more stealth and utility abilities. We don't WANT to be "Light Assaults", we just have to right now due to the lack of a defined role.
You give scouts some serious stealth and reconnaissance abilities, and give WP for doing their job, and you will see a drastic change in how most scouts operate.
Some will still be that crazy, deranged scout all up in yo face (Mainly Minmatar Scouts, as that is what they seem to be made to do), but for the most part, I believe we would change our tactics.

I run the minimitar militia light frame an awful lot.
its a good points farmer, but not a combat suit.
my set up is
-advanced drop uplinks -advanced kincat -advanced stamina -dren assault rifle -locus grenade.
wish i did not have to invest more SP's into cores or i would be unlocking the mini scout.
the hacking bonus is awesome on the mini scout ( i run a mini logi so i know) but the hand to hand combat is pointless. maybe a stamina bonus would be more worth while.
As for the gallenti scout.
it seems more combat orientated than the mini with the scan bonus and scan profile bonus. also at proto lvl having 4 lows added o the passive skills of the suit makes it pretty strong imo if you run it with a scanner.
if i had to make one change to scouts, it would be at advanced level and above give them 2 equipment slots. |

i personally believe you sir who say the heavy frame needs to be looked at first are totally wrong ( no offence ) if you jump in to a scout suit and run it for 1 game tell me what u did better in there is no way in hell u will do better in your scout than the heavy ( unless you are a rubbish heavy )scouts just cant even join into an engagement without sneaking up on people and even then that's almost impossible to do with out losing a low slot for a profile dampner module the fact that a scout has cqc weapons based on it ie nova knives/ shot gun and we cant even get into the fight to well properly i do agree the speed on scouts is fine hp is fine just i think it needs to be looked at with giving a extra high/low slot and higher cpu and pg mayby for certain suits but this suit is the worst most ignored suit in the game its the only one to never really be tweaked since closed beta .
Can we get a charge while we are sprinting nova knive attack please.
also can some one tell me does the malee biotic afect a normal nova knife strike?? |

i don't see the scout as a combat class.
i try to avoid combat unless i have a clear advantage i.e. someone is hacking/sniping or on their last legs.
personally i see the role of the scout is to set up attacks with uplinks and hacking CRU's ect so that the medium frames and heavys can finish things off. Yes i will hack everything else aswell but only if i feel it is safe to do so.
with hacking and uplinks its easy to make over 1k WP's using using a militia light frame with all militia stuff on.
personally i like the scout how it is. |

The last thing I want scouts to get is more HP.
Scouts should have their other attributes buffed to reinforce their play-styles, differentiate them from being light-assualts, and make them more viable on the field. As it stands now the slightly higher movement, better stealth and scan/range isn't really enough to make up for the lack of HP, lack of slots and lack of CPU/PG.
In my opinion, making scouts viable isn't about adding more HP - that's the wrong part of the equation to be changing. |

In all honesty, I would definitely be ok with just getting a cloaking equipment with perks for using it on a scout suit.
OK, CCP. When are knives finally going to be improved?
