I would like to see a dropsuit module that reduces fall impact by more than 50% or eliminates it altogether. Additionally it could reduce the impact of being hit by a vehicle.

I think one of the main reasons getting hit by a vehicle is so damaging is because it was the easy way out. CCP didn't want to update their physics, but they also didn't want us to break vehicle mechanics by being hit.
As for the fall damage reduction, I don't see a reason for it to exist.

The pile of garbage looks nicer.

If a merc is in a light class suit and jumps down off of a one-story building, then the impact can significantly reduce HP, diminishing shield and rendering the merc vulnerable until shield is restored. As of right now, it is typically better to take the stairs than to take the damage from falling. If the module were designed effectively, it could significantly improve mobility in an urban setting or mountain terrain.

I'm a future merc, dammit, and I want powerz!

Possibility:
Make inertial dampeners a module, and move MCCs closer together. Equipping them means reduced fall damage, and you can activate them at extreme heights to completely dampen fall (how it is now). So if people equip them they get exclusive access to a closer spawn point than the ground base since MCCs are now closer to each other, which would be very useful as an 'initiation' suit, but reduced fall damage means it could still be of benefit to some who like scaling high places and jumping off.
On that note, what about suction pads to climb walls? Slower than ladders (which is already ridiculously slow), for the advantage of climbing any smooth surface. Spiderman, if you will.
