With a slow charge-up time, one round magazine, lazy projectile, and long reload, making a Plasma Cannon powerful enough to put a militia shield tank at half armor would give Plasma Cannons a new life and introduce a hilarious form of gameplay.

while this would be hilarious, it would be OP when combined with AV grenades or anything of the like.

dude 3k is more than half tht's like all of the shields on a gunnlogi with no mods o. esspecially considering it does extra damage to shields. O_o

2.5k would still be all the shields. a gunnlogi only has 2650 and with the extra damage to shields frm PLC...

They need to introduce variants for more weapons. I see no reason why a breach Plasma Cannon should not exist.
Unfortunately, CCP does not seem all too concerned about weapon variants... |

Considering the plasma cannon has a slow travel time, charge up time, one shot in clip, and is ridiculously easy to see coming in addition to having an arc of fire, I don't see the problem with this tbh.
Hardened tanks could still laugh it off.

This. If it could go up in the air instead of at an angle, it would be a frickin' flare. Give it about as much damage as Forge Guns and there you go.
