My ADV Amarr logi has 195 shields and 480 armor and I can take a lot of enemy fire before I die. Try using cover and/or not running out in the open where multiple enemy's can see you.

You take out one protosuit, they have to kill you 100 times to get back at you. Pulsed perfectly, or even decently, you can achieve much higher DPS with the boundless than the six kin, with better accuracy.

For that matter, the good old Gallente AR is still a heavy hitter in short to mid range fights...you'll see more of them back on the field in a week or two when guys stop messing with the shiny new stuff. For all the rough stuff with FW kicks and HAVs on steriods having all four base racial weapons actually is a great example of how racial playstyles work. For example, my CalAssault and Rail Rifle is perfectly suited for flanking, precision firing, support positions for assaulters moving to take objectives...i am digging it. For the Minja's out there..the CR at mid-range is a beast pairs really well with the SMG. The ACR is an absolute bullet hose...in CQC. The massive ROF is off-set by magazine capacity which gives the AR an edge in short range fights.

I have 330 shield and 280 armor on my logi Mk.0 and I'm having a blast. The new rifles are designed to punish slower armor suits and brick tankers. I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

I only do it if I'm bored or want to cost certain players a lot of ISK. It's quite fun hiding on a roof-top and blasting people with the forge, I actually defended an objective with it on the ground which is pretty fun too Along comes a PRO, tanked assault suit, sees a heavy moving at 1m/s and thinks he has an easy kill, nope, dead with one shot the new ragdoll physics make for some hilarious moments too.

It's my favorite weapon of all time. Remove time in battle from ISK payout formula and provide a bonus to winning team... Watch battles become fun again.
