So I see a lot of people saying that AV is just a deterrent. I just want you to know, you now feel like a sniper in PC.
We used to be relevant in 8v8 corp battles, able to use a prototype weapon to kill a prototype suit.
We were useful in PC 1.1-1.4 so long as you were in the top ten of sniping skill or if anyone used the officer weapon.
Then they rotated some of the null cannons, created new surface infrastructure, and made the SI more variable specifically to take away a sniper's ability to shoot them. Yet rail tanks, mass drivers, and forge guns were still effective.
Welcome to the club, those with Wyrikomi Swarm Launchers. Even Proficiency V doesn't make you effective against armor tanks.
Get out your Caldari suits so you can stack those damage mods all the way... or hope an officer swarm comes out.

You do know that stacking anymore then 3 damage mods is a waste of a mod slot right? (The 4th and 5th ones give you a total of a little less then 5% damage) |

To a tank that knows what they're doing, there really is no infantry AV anymore. it's kind of sad that CCP just wiped out an entire class. |

base damage 220 per missile.
proficiency V, brings it to 253
3 damage mods: 323.96
4th: 333
5th:336
Ok so the 5th doesn't work out but does add 18 damage, but the 4th adds 60.
It really is like the sniper rifle. you need every bit of help. But it's ok.
"******* snipers in the ******* redline don't do anything. **** them all" has made all references to balance about sniper rifle damage "well you should be picking off injured targets" or "well hit the person and let someone else get the kill"
Now swarms are in the exact same place. You won't get a kill on your own, unless they are running really bad set-ups or they aren't paying attention. You need 2 direct hits with the Wyrikomi with at least 8-10 of your 12 missiles just to kill a MLT LAV.

There are three infantry classes in DUST:
1.The assaults
2. The logis
3. The others
The others are what are called Scouts and Heavies, which were hardly in existence in all of Uprising.
And now you are complaining that AV got wiped out. Poor AV...

WTF are you talking about? I'm a heavy, AV, and I drive an LAV. The heavy is gone. AV is gone. and the LAV is almost gone. There isn't much left to do in this game except pick up a tank.
You want a pity party? F you. I'm too busy looking for another game.
