If they did a trial where the HMG shot like the combat rifle with a larger spray at 30m or less the fatties would be happy. then just reduce damage 10% for the next 10m(40m) and 20% at 50m, so it still did damage, but was obviously more effective with its fatty range. I stick my weiner in two buns and and then give it the gas Sour cream from my spleen into Levi jeans

Lets put it this way: With the new impact they added when you're receiving damage, added with the increased muzzle flash of the gun, on top of the still broken hmg, and it makes for one sad fat man stripped of his last donut.
