I'm curious what the design goals/ role of the MAVs could be...
One thing I could imagine is the ground equivalent of the dropship with enough slots and fitting space to fit some strong hardeners making it great to get people in and extract them from battle. They could provide an additional benefit of a kind of additional mobile cover to shoot from behind. I could see them being the most balanced if their utility came from not having turrets. If they exclusively held a logistics/ground transport role, or maybe even a resupply role with a refillable pool of nanites that could be used to refit and resupply. |

MAV Squad?
I think we need bigger maps before we get MAVs. They should be slow, highly armored, with modules that enhance dropsuits or vehicles in the immediate area, along with various bonuses to support things such as remote reps, ammo restoring, scanning, etc etc.

Or something. Maybe up to 10% damage reduction to friendlies in a radius at proto, or added optimal to weapons, or built in infantry reps for focused healing. Basically anything support should be what the MAV focuses on.
