Pub matches are nothing but vehicles and snipers, ground play = lost money, lost suits, and RAGE.
I am getting seriously burnt out on matches with 3-5 tanks constantly speeding around making infantry play impossible. I just watched from the deployment map while 2 sets of tanks were chasing each other around the map while two enemy tanks sat over the objective. I am not even sure what is causing this but for the first time its feeling like a good time to grab a passive booster and sit out until the next update.
Where is the vehicle spam coming from?
My ideas: cheaper prices (people will burn out of isk at this rate) easier to skill into (this will be around for a while) less AV (we are screwed if we dont like this)
Please enlighten me on how long matches will be like this so I know which booster to buy. |

I have messed with it but I really don't feel like building all new fits to be able to balance my profit loss for a totally different payout system as I am sick of thinking about skills and skill points.
I just want to be able to do what I have been doing for so long in this game. Hang out with the friends I have made here , not have to worry about if I will be able to afford playing the way I want to play without putting more real money in, and have a good time. It was doing this that got me to put real money in a few times and what made me login every day .
This update is great, its the first new content in a while and a couple aspects of the game show big changes which excites me, but as of right now it has me ready to throw in the towel for some reason. Maybe I am just burnt out. |

How about skilling into something worthwhile?
Like ADV AV nades
or
ADV Swarms.
If you and your buddies did this it would be Problem solved.
Rather than skilling into the FOTM weapon. |

Yea I gave in and dipped into my saved up unallocated skill points (was at 3.2 million unallocated) and went ADV swarm may go proto if i get mad enough after this.
For the record that 3.2 was after going L4 in the rail rifle which I purchased boosters over the last month to make sure I had enough excess, going FOTM sometimes is fun even tho I will regret it when the nerf hammer swings down.

Rather than skilling into the FOTM weapon. Both of those won't even scratch free tanks unless there's at least 3 of you firing in unison at the tank as it's cooldowns are down and it's trying to turn.
Seriously, swarms are by FAR the worst AV option now...unless you still consider the plasma cannon to be AV
AV has been trivialized by the strength of tanks, the nerfs to AV, and the effectiveness of Remote Explosives strapped to an LAV.

An LAV loaded up with remote explosives - std and adv can take out a tough tank. Tankers usually wait until they see some damage before they hit their hardeners, and a surprise impact with 7 or 8 remote explosive devices will work. As a bonus - if the tanker isn't moving, you can bail out at the last second and let the momentum of your LAV continue into your target (this has failed horribly, but it has also worked out - I think I can get better at bailing out given more practice).

This does help quite a bit, but I would like some small balance adjustments made to either AV damage or tank speed. A tank should be dominant in situations where it can bring all of its advantages to bear, but right now it feels like a bad tank driver has too great a margin for error in environments that should be dangerous. The tank parked next to the hostile supply depot inside a compound where he canGÇÖt return fire on AV chuckers should probably die if he continues sitting there. Currently, said tank has both too long to react and too great a chance to escape if he reacts late. However, if more people carry AV grenades, it might have a positive effect on the amount of locus spam that occurs and make it more difficult to drive an HAV like an idiot (win-win for everyone). |
