This weapon is soo OP.
Nerf this and slightly buff that.
What's your process? I noticed it's pretty much everyone arguing in a circle. I just don't have it in me to make these types of threads. BUT IF I WERE TO MAKE ONE!!!
Buff new guys by letting them grind tons of sp. I think this game is going places and it's time to let them cap to somewhat competive levels quickly.
Other than that I don't care if they spec into something that sucks.
That wasn't good enough was it? What should I include?

In EVE, new can be useful by tackling. In Dust, new players can be useful as cannon fodder. That needs to change.
I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

Start new players with more SP, around 2 million would be nice, plus an unlimited cap until they hit 5 million. |

If new players don't have proper tutorials, all the SP in the world won't help them. Play a 30-day free trial of EVE and then make a new toon on Dust and see how different new player experience is.

A newbro buff? No thank you. What this game needs is PvE so newbros can farm up some SP without getting insta proto stomped. (of course there should also be harder PvE missions for experienced Proto squads). But with PvE newbros could level up and learn the basics of the game. And then they could go into PvP when they feel ready.
At the moment it's starting the game. Getting one or two pretty balanced rounds in the academy. And then throw the into pubstomping. Not really what I expect people to enjoy. In my opinion PvE is essential for the NPE. And the guys who really want to do PvE then have their goal to get enough SP to play with the big guys, but they don't get stomped while farming for this. |

Some sort of true "Academy" would do well also, sort of a live tutorial/PVE scenario. Pointing out the specifics of character builds, roles, social aspect, factions etc. would help tremendously. |

Would help them learn the basics, yes. But there would still be a difference regarding the SP. If you want to really play competitive you will at least need advanced gear and some of the core skills at that level. And I think just boosting them up would be the wrong way to do this. Because then you would have a lot of very unexperienced players, not knowing what kind of module does what, running around in advanced and proto gear. |

more community support ( it cant all rest on ccp's shoulders)
