Installations are good to have AI. no point to them otherwise.
The main issue I have is railguns sniping dropships from redline to redline. Make railguns unable to target dropships, and perhaps buff their hp. MAke them difficult to kill. they should be valuable assets, not free wp. |

I think installations should be powerful, otherwise they're just hack/destruction WP generators that can't defend or at best tickle players.
I haven't had firsthand experience with the installations yet in 1.7, so I can't say if they are too powerful in the current form. But they can't be weak either.

Rail installations are redonkulous. If tankers don't clear them out in the first few minutes of a skirmish, you're gonna have a bad time. |

AI Railguns are the only ones that usually kill me. Drops most of my shields in one shot, the rest in another and then pops me from 400m away with 100% accuracy. I learn where they are and either stay away, pop them before they turn red at the beginning of the match or use a Railgun tank or Forge Gun to pop them from far away.

Right now they are just free tank turrets that anyone can use no skill points required. Turrets should cost wp to call in. Or at least cost something. The reason I go around destroying turrets is because I can't stand losing a dropship to a free tank turret that some red hacked because a blue hacked it while I was trying to blow it up then ran off. If they don't cost anything to call in then they have no value. It should either cost something, isk or wp, or they should only function when manned. No crazy accurate ai. |

shut up. I get killed by ca railguns more than my enemy. I think its hilarious. At least they now have a use with all the tanks. Cap one and defend it, you can now quit crying about tanks too.
if people put as much effort into learning how to play as they do crying here they wouldn't have to cry here. |

Turret instillations need a HP buff, no WP for blowing them up, and they should respawn over the course of a match. Especially Skirmish. You can wreck a fully hardened tank with these things and are great for players that don't have AV.
I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

Get rid of installation AI. Give them magazines just like tanks. Then get rid of the ones on the map all together and let is call our own in (hinted by the installation tab when calling vehicles and off map support).
Missiles can and have literally tracked my dropship +1000 meters and can be spammed indefinitely (at about 500 damage per missile).

Have you been inside a Missile Installation?
Holy hell are those things OP! Were they always able to shoot as many missiles as fast as you can press R1? I'm remembering them bursting, but I can count the times i've used them on one hand and have a finger left over.

One problem with respawning turrets is that they could spawn behind you and pop you, which isn't exactly fair. If they left an indicator on the ground of what type of turret would spawn there and had a time bar when you pointed at it showing roughly how long until it deployed, maybe.
