We need to go back to Chromosome where tanks were fun. Tanks not (at least to me) are not as fun as they used to be. In Chromosome, the problem were infantry were not willing to go into proto Av to deal with our proto (expensive as hell) tanks, so tanks got a nerf. Now if we go back to chromosome type tanks, there can be balance because people have proto type AV to deal with the proto tanks. (many people disagree, i respect your opinion)

Plus were tanks fun in chromosome because the infantry did not have proto AV thus you could stomp anyone and not be worried?
Thus tanks are not as fun now because alot do have proto AV and will hit you with it thus you cannot stomp all the time |

Isnt it fun now because the vast majority have proto AV but back in the day barely anyone had proto AV THUS it was easier to tank |

Back in chromo
Sagaris/Surya - Proto turret, 3 hardeners, booster/rep, extender/plate - 6k generally and tanked like a beast with massive DPS
Not much proto AV about tho and mainly 5kdmg per railgun shot thus tank v tank more
Also we had more skills, CPU/PG gave 5% per level and shield/armor hp 5% per level too and diff mods such as hull mods
I miss the skills more and hope that sagari/surya comeback as proto tanks, tank v tank more and AV does a bit more than they ever did to chromo tanks
Plus the speed is nice, maddy is slow for turning which i hate but speed is good and gunlogi is very nice to move about in, they feel like they have an engine for once |

Tanks are working well ATM. The problem AV has is they want their own AV attack to be good enough to take out any tank solo, they have been spoiled for a while now, being able to spam crazy powerful swarms all over the map, invisible swarms...
Now you need to set up tank traps, use a bit a team work to take them out. People will cry tank spam, that AV is impossible due to the sheer amount of tanks working together.
Yesterday I was on my forge gunner, a squad member was on rail tank duty, another member on restock/heal the fat guy or an uncommon support logi role. The other team had several tanks (If i remember rightly, 2 sica rails, 1 soma, 1 maddy missile, 1 maddy blaster). We use our rail tank to lure these tanks into place then before they could retreat, Kaaly FG sent them to their deaths.
If you look at the overall picture, the enemy had 5 players minimum, off the floor, not being able to help, while my team had 1 guy in a tank, 15 able to fight on. Tanks are in a good place right now, Av is also in a good place, If ADV/PRO tanks were added AV will then become underpowered.
People need to remember, defeating a tank doesn't have to mean BOOOOOOOOOM, just getting him away from you is a win.
