Its a battlefield I expect tanks and derpships.Tanks aren't OP they have always been there but now it is too cheap and spamable and not much of a av arsenal to work with that are actually effective....anyways. They can be easily taken cared of with teamwork ....1 - 2 tanks with a swarm/forge gunner working together can take out tanks pretty fast but that is the issue there..TEAMWORK... 6-man squad can handle tanks but they cant handle the oncoming tank spam and win the match..blueberries are too busy peeing themselves at the sight of tanks from the MCC and ground spawn to help and refuse to communicate and work with you.
I think CCP may have over looked over the fact that many matches DONT have teamwork... besides the 6 man squad...cause when they are testing on their servers Im sure they have a team of devs who know what they are doing and can communicate with everyone on their team and are willing to work with each other...
So maybe to address the issue they can give us team deploy option?..Pls... Currently we are doing it with Q-sycing but that is such a pain to get to work...with team deploy we can actually use teamwork to deal with tanks since we will have players with us that will work with us and can communicate with us..(for the most part there will be some no mics but the good ones have ways of communicating) so we wont have those useless blueberries sitting in the mcc and goofing around in the redline..
Great! So you want to set up teams to pub stomp blueberries more easily ? No! This can be fixed pretty easily..just have players that use team deploy go against other players that use team deploy..if there isnt another team deploy group available then you get scotty saying "go away I dont like you!" like usual..or maybe a nice message that says no battle available.
Maybe it can be like squad...6 empty slots but instead 16 empty slots. 12 players at least or you are not allowed to deploy.
BTW: I love that no one is QQing about derpships but that is because they aren't being spammed like tanks...and lil people even bother looking/speccing into those beautiful majestic creatures <333

Here is the solution to your problem. LAV+ RE= dead HAV. My suit cost less than 10K isk and I can run it all day. I do not worry about random blueberries, I will kill the tank myself

I do use that method ( and its quite fun) but I would like to run the gear I specced into instead of driving away tanks cause everyone else in my team is lazy or thinks tanks are OP and should be ignored cause trying to kill one is impossible. |

Aha ... I think you have hit upon the crux of the problem with CCP's internal playtesting ! They all know eachother, they all have mics, they all squad and team up, and they all actually play the missions ...

None of the common problems we have in the REAL world.
This is why so many updates get released that seem totally unbalanced to us with results that are "unexpected" by CCP. Unrealistic Playtesting!

There are lots of AV out there. REs, Forge, Swarms, ground mines, plasma cannons and AV nades... You could throw Mass Drivers in the mix

I hear you.
The most logical response I have read. This is what the discussion should really be about. I think the changes were to encourage cooperation, team deploy would be a powerful tool. Its not enough just to squad up randomly anymore, It's kind of hard to use tactics when every player on the field has a different reason for playing and a different agenda.
I would rather look bad and win, than look good and lose.

Whats the god damn point of equipping av anything if you A. Cant kill tanks with avand B. Cant kill anything with your god damn side arm. And now every god damn fight has 4-6 god damn tanks on the winning side. Vehicles make this game entirely fking stupid. I came for fps. I got ******* lolclown vehicle spammers wtf!? |

Already made a thread about this before but what you are promoting is a zero-sum game. If tank requires more than one opposing player (even if specced into AV) to counter, then it's easier bringing out another tank to counter it. Instead of bringing out 8 AV players now to counter the opposing team's 4 tanks, instead just bring out 4 tanks. Now you've changed the dynamics of the game, he who brings out tanks first has the numerical advantage (assuming said tank cannot be soloed). The result is a zero-sum game OR as people like to call it now, tank spam. I posted this after the patch, saying it would become a problem. The first night two tanks per side were common, the 2nd night I saw 5 tanks. Now it's not common to see 7 tanks. It's not balanced and it's an issue, plain and simple - there are many solutions but the first would be to tone down their ridiculous speed. |

I even posted it before the patch as soon as the changes were announced. it took me 15 seconds to figure it out by running basic math skills over the announced changes, no one listened, my post got burried somewhere between the tank QQ
I dont think the devs tested the changes. |

It does not have to be all bad, lets ignore ambush matches for the moment. In every other gamemode we have the redline and can call in as many tanks as the opposing team have deployed. It does make the battlefield more challenging and dynamic, I am not a tanker and have currently no SP in tanks.
In the open maps you will now need LAVs or dropships for transportation of infantry to avoid the tanks. And the tanks are having some epic tank battles.
It takes time getting used to the tanks being all over the place. The roles have changed for how to counter these tanks, a sneaky scout that avoids the tanks scanners and can place droplinks close to the objectives becomes necessary. I receive tons of warpoints by sneaking around, not spamming droplinks, but placing them strategically close to red nullcanons, and then move on to the next nullcanon if it is defended or hack it.
I am not a happy scout after 1.7, not due to tanks but due to my already fragile scout suit getting shredded by the new rifles in milliseconds.
Less forge guns and AV in general give dropships more room to fly around and do their thing.
Lets see if we are not managing to find a new balance in Dust between tanks and infantry. The cost of tanks are cheap which increases the risc of running your expensive proto suits. I actually like the new battlefield, if they would just increase the TTK a little or decrease all four AR types dps. |

try put a militia fuel injector on the lav for additional fun +3k isk not to much still funny as hell |
