I know that they are FoTM, and that they are hard to kill, but I propose that they are not as hard as you think. One good AV guy can solo a tank, and two halfway decent AVers should be able to handle it no problem. Remember these quick tank-killing tips:
1) A tank's shield is completely gone after one flux grenade, SO COORDINATE
2) AV grenades don't explode or disappear immediately after being thrown, so anticipate a tank's path, and throw all your AV grenades in his way. I did this a few nights ago, stepped out after he hit my nades and hit him once or twice with my FG. DONE.
3) Remote explosives are useful traps. Tanks always go the same routes. They are almost as good as proxy mines for killing vehicles.
4) Try to hit tanks under their chassis or right in the @$$. It deals more damage.
5) If you see a tank, and have ZERO AV equipped...hide.

Now that tanks can be fitted as cheaply as dropsuits, dedicated AVers (especially forges and all future heavy AV) should be able to solo a tank if it's not being supported by infantry and their modules are in cooldown.
The only thing that needs adjustment is tank speed and acceleration. The tanker needs to anticipate when it needs to gtfo. |

They aren't a big deal, but it's not because of being able to kill them-
while their suvivability is way up, the turrets (from the little experience I have behind them this build) aren't that threatening to infantry.
More of an annoyance than a threat, considering they just blow up all the supply depots

5) If you see a tank, and have ZERO AV equipped...hide.
1) Not v a Shield Tank it doesn't and even v an Armour Tank .. losing it's shields isn't an issue .. it's an armor tank
2) AV Grenades barely do any damage and they are really only any use v a bad tanker that's gone ridiculously close to enemy infantry .. if your in a tank and are being hit by multiple AV grenades then you're a bad tanker
3) You have to sit their with the detonator out ready and they only have a 5m radius and so your timing has to be perfect and with fast moving vehicles it is very difficult to do and also you are extremely vulnerable to other infantry as well as the tank itself .. Proxy mines don;t do enough damage and the trigger is appalling I've often seen Tanks drive right over them without taking any damage at all because they were moving to fast
4) How exactly do you hit a Tank under it's chassis ? Is it possible to roll under them ? I will however accept the shooting them in the back thing but that's obvious ..
5) If a Tank see's a squad of AV .. it .. just .. heads straight into them and stops to shoot at them ... If 3/4 people with AV doesn't deter a Tank from charging in then clearly AV isn't balanced ... AV = Anti Vehicle .. if you are using a vehicle and drive upto AV to kill them then either you are an idiot or AV isn't balanced |

So simple and eloquent a solution, yet so few take this to heart, and even less atempt to eploy evasion tactics as they move throughout the battlefield.

Hitting them under the chassis is actually not so bad. Especially in a hilly map. And to the point about the flux grenades - people don't really understand the difference between shields and armor when it comes to different weapon types, and I've seen people flock to MLT SL to fight tanks with full shields. Also, they don't understand what the hardeners are. I think most people probably aren't reading the forums on a regular basis, and therefore don't understand anything about fighting tanks.

If you show me a video of one AVer that can take out a tank single handedly right now in 1.7, I'll take your advice.

What magical land do you live in? Even a militia large blaster = 750 DPS. When it's mounted on an invincible, shockingly fast platform, it's definitely a threat and not an annoyance. |

90% of every game I play now is being RUINED by tanks.
NOBODY has AV anymore.
Sometimes if you get even one tank on the field, it's game over.
They are completely ruining games because in most instances, there's NOTHING you can do about it. You won't be able to solo the tank, and if you do you'll lose a lot more ISK than the tanker.
I'm seeing 90% of all games and 100% of all Ambush games turn into nothing but tank spam. How is anybody having any fun just hiding from tanks and waiting for the game to be over?
The tank is like a fart in an elevator, there's nothing you can do and everyone has to suffer.
Tanks need to first be REMOVED from Ambush unless CCP wants this game to die!!
If the next patch doesn't fix it, the players will leave. People are leaving with every patch which means CCP are going BACKWARDS.

It isn't that there is no AV, it's that because the swarm launcher is garbage now and few people such as myself have heavy suits, every game that i have played since 1.7 i always have to run the forge or tanks will just run wild. Don't get me wrong i LOVE my forge and i have been blowing up alot of tanks but i am one guy......and there are alot of ******* tanks...... |

If I see there are tanks on the field. I Blow up the supply depots. Why would ANY inf guy Not get rid of them? , now with the ammo changes and all. Never mind that they can repair there. ( not sure if that last part still works )

As I was taking down a blaster Soma last night (alone btw), I thought to myself, "I really need to record some of this." So, does anyone have any suggestions as to recording gameplay? I don't want to set up a webcam or something low quality like that.
