Great update, i like the presence a TANK now has on the battlefield, as it should. A tank should come in and run infantry out, that is why tanks were invented in the first place. The next step in tanking would have to be without question is requiring multiple operators to operate one tank. One operator running the battlefield with a tank turning on his god mode (hardeners) anytime he meets AV in my opinion is no different than giving one rifle complete run of the roost. require at least two operators to at a minimum drive and operate the main turret.
The next step to introducing a new dynamic to the battlefield would be... wait for it.... Artillery. A Non Line Of Sight weapon, I know blah blah we have turrets, blah blah. The idea is to have a means of hitting not just infantry but Vehicles without prior warning other than a warning that "enemy artillery is covering the area." Artillery can be pre-placed on certain maps and require a minimum skill to operate. Artillery would pack a punch and would carry different munitions depending on the skill of the operator and require scans by fellow teammates to acquire targets. Very limited ammo, requiring friendly scans, and requiring a minimum skill level may help keep this balanced on the battlefield. Not to mention making the actual piece itself a "glass cannon" with low survivability.

Then you should have a driver for your tank. Either way you sir should not be given a tank and be allowed to own the field. they are not one man vehicle in real life nor should they be in this game. a team to take out a tank and a team to operate one.

If tanks required a gunner for the large turret then tankers would find a way, tanks should be hard to kill. but 16 v16 should require two or three of those 16 players dedicating themselves to a tank if called out. not 16 v 15 + tank, there's no balance there. |

This isn't real life this is the future where a Titan Class Capital ship is controlled by a single person why would it be that hard for a Tank driver. The fact our small turrets aren't automatically firing on hostiles is because it would be OP. Yes I know Eve ships have a crew, but the main functions are controlled by the Capsuleer. (thought I should add before somebody tried to call me out or something)
They have crews.... all you needed to say in that statment |

If i could run up on 10 -15 enemys and start shooting and killing and only have to worry when the spawn back in with their special weapon that is designed for killing me. then maybe, oh and hope they've skilled to proto on that special weapon to take out my militia gear...MiLiTiA GeAr....MILITIA GEAR........just saying |

Amen. The tankers are so quick to tell us that we should use teamwork, they should need to use it too. If they don't require a gunner and a driver to run around pwning everything then we should be able to solo pwn everything too. Teamwork required for all or teamwork required for none. make is so 1 person moves a av suit, and 1 person used the gun, balance
if its as powerful and armored as a tank. yes do it |
