A low slot module that is active rather than passive, the vex module damages near by enemies by giving off a deadly discharge of electricity.
The electric discharge drains the user's stamina, the more stamina a user has the longer the longer the module will be active. Note, the module would then work better on suits with higher stamina.
-9m range -15 damage, 5 Times a second: 75 damage a second -Standard module lasts 3.5 seconds on a standard Caldari Assault suit with full stamina

I have a few problems with this.
1: Scouts have the most stamina, and would be killed in roughly 3 seconds by this (Most non-proto scout suits have <250 total HP). Coupled with the fact that most scout weapons (shotgun) are short range, this already seems like a bad idea.
2: It appears to be an area of affect weapon, which in most games are quite powerful (because you can often damage a lot of enemies at once, often times, without accurate shot placement, or even seeing them. Also, AOE weapons are hard to avoid), while merely giving up a low slot. To balance, this would need to take at a minimum an equipment or grenade slot, and more reasonably a secondary or primary weapon slot.
3: How do you counter this module? You can't shoot a non-moving module, as it is part of your suit (perhaps they have to kill you, which then becomes a larger task, since this is only a low slot module, and not a weapon, because you can fire back) You can simply fit it onto a faster suit, and then chase people as they run away. And as you lose stamina, you lose the ability to run away. It would simply be too overpowered for a very minimal trade off. Imagine a fully tanked (4 plates, multiple shield extenders) squad of guys running shoulder to shoulder taking .5 seconds to kill a heavy without firing a shot or even seeing them. Want to sneak up on them with a shotty and take them out? Not gonna happen with this bad boy, you snuck up on your opponents, was about to shoot them, and died- they never knew you were even there.
While I applaud you ability at thinking outside the box, your idea needs quite some polishing to become fair. |

While I applaud you ability at thinking outside the box, your idea needs quite some polishing to become fair. In terms of multiple people using it, a person could only be electrified by one module at a time.
If you run at someone with this module you lose out on the amount of time you can use it.
You have to manually activate the module like you have to activate modules on vehicles.
Also you have to use cardiac regulators to make the best of the Vex. This means you have less stealth ability and less armor.
Stacking the vex module would be useless because having more does nothing, and you would not be able to activate more than one module at the same time.
Also this module can be disabled by using a flux grenade
Your fear that you would be able to put this on a scout suit and just run through a group of enemies killing them is just not a likely scenario.
A the scout would have to sacrifice armor and stealth, because of the low slots that would be used for the Vex module and cardiac regulators.
If they attempt to run after people before or while using the Vex, then the module will function for less time.
So what you have is a low armor scout suit that lacks stealth and if they do not manage to kill you by just standing next to you for a couple seconds than they will not even have enough stamina to bunny hop around to avoid fire.
A shotgun would still be better, at least you can runaway after using it.
Madness is the emergency exit. You can just step outside, and close the door on all those dreadful things that happened.

How would this affect cloaked scouts? This seems like it would be rather bad for that particular community if it could be equipped in a simple low slot. Hell I forgo armor all the time with my scout honestly, just have dampeners and a code breaker on it. Both enhanced and Im still plenty lethal.

Well you wouldn't be able to be cloaked and be using this module at the sane time.
The module does need to be manually activated like a module on a vehicle, so this will definitely help to keep the Vex module from denying kills from stealthy shotgun users or knifers
