i have just started using the scram pistol. i really really like it for damage at range on my forge heavy .
i am using the KLO-1 thats the adv model . is it worth getting the assault variant ?
i am using this to deal with people popping me from behind rocks and ledges . and it's damage potential is wonderful . but the reduction at range is slowing me down.
so the question is . does the assault variant do that much |

The assault variant is better in all shapes and forms. Saying that though the KLO-1 is my go to sidearm on nearly every of my 25+ fits.

The TT-3 Assault SCP can out-DPS even some of the more powerful weapons, and is surprisingly effective in CQC. So yup. I'd say go for the TT-3/Viziam. :P

Klo is solid pistol, tt-3 is pretty much a flat upgrade of it. My main weapon's are scrambler pistols and I carry around the tt-3 on 90% of my fits. The klo is my choice when i dont have the fitting room for it. If you need instruction or tips on them feel free to mail me in game

The KLO *IS* "the assault variant".
There are three types of scrambler pistol. The assault/regular type ,and the breech type, and the burst.
If it isnt breech, and it isnt burst, then it is assault. You can tell this, by comparing (standard) to the initial "assault" type. It has just slightly increased damage and rate of fire stats.
Then, the KLO is slightly increased on top of that.
Then, the TT3 is slightly increased on top of that.

Question about the Burst variant. Does it... burst? Meaning when I shoot, does it put out one bullet or more at a time?

For that you would want the burst scrambler pistol (unlocked at lvl 4 scrambler pistol operation). It dose less damage per shot but has a higher magazine count and has a three round burst.

If you want to be good you take Breach Pistol up. It can't be spammed as easily at all. You have to make your shots count.
The TT-3 I refer to as the cheater-beater of pistols. It's as close to the SMG you can get. While the RoF is always a good option, you have a looser hipfire spread. Stick with the KLO and your hipfire will be pretty decent. However if you are hell bent on RoF, the CAR 9 Burst is an excellent option. I mopped up heavily today with the CAR 9 on my side. It's been known to a masterful headshot weapon but the TY 5 breach is just as rewarding but polar opposite, much slower.
Stick with the KLO, learn the KLO, love the KLO, then move onto the TT-3 if you must. The TT-3 I feel is not worth the extra CPU. But you are a heavy and they have plenty of CPU/PG. I would recommend using it since it does kill quicker.
