For the most part I run a cal logi, and today I decided to try a shield fit, I thought its been a while maybe the new rifles won't hurt so much.
So I grabbed a proto, filled the lows with complex regs, and put 3 extenders + 2 enegizers in the highs.
This left me just enought to fit a basic scrifle (to allow me to engage at range) and a scanner (so I could choose my fights to sum degree).
So for 90k i get 434/94hp with 30hp/sec and shield recharge delay of about 2 secs, and To be honest it wasn't too bad...
...then I started dropping the regs for complex plates and I got the same 2 sec delay with only 2 regs and two plates.
Giving me 434/391hp and a grenade aswell for the sameish price.
Maybe if u got rid of all stacking penalties, and could get the delay down to zero... maybe...
I dunno , I give up.

If you can run complex profile dampeners I've found that they help a ton when everyone relies on scanners these days...
I have a few videos on fittings. Minmatar logi though, but maybe it'll give you a good idea on how to work a good shield fit:

Thanks for the reply shayz, nice vids, I guess its just still **** for now then.
I was hoping to hear from someone who's tried to get rid of the delay and cranked up the regen on a proto scout or something. Anyone out there?
I think the way the game is now id be happy if I could get around 6-700hp in shields, or get my delay to under a second.
