The M1A1 tank can only elevate to about +20 degrees, for reference.
IMO, the smaller the turret, the higher it should be able to aim.

Is that even possible? Even if you were directly above him, that's only 90 degrees...

It is possible. But if the tank turned around it would then be 80 degrees. I think the OP is overstating himself |

100 degrees?! the tanks can only aim aprox. 50 degrees, missa thinks you are crazy.

The large railgun isn't supposed to be an anti-vehicle turret that can aim that high and yes, I've been attacked by assault dropships several times pre 1.7 and it was pretty easy tanking takes down as an ADS if they weren't in a red zone. |

I angle myself on hills to hit dropships, otherwise you can't reach them after the start flying up to escape the first volley. |

Yup. As a dropship pilot myself, I've taken up Railgun sniping when the air gets too cluttered/dangerous and I've shot down many dropships that thought they were safe by ramping my tank on a hill. |

Yup.
Hate having an ******* with a AR be able to squat in front my tank and laugh at me not being able to keel them.
DUST is a half decent game.
