Right now AV infantry has two options, team up to destroy tanks or push them back on your own without being able to solo them. The problem right now is that most blueberry teams are completely unorganized and it ends with one player defending his team from vehicles. HOWEVER, that player does NOT get REWARDED for doing so. Hence, why WP for damaging vehicles has to be implemented NOW!!!!
It will also mean that destroying a vehicle is not the only thing viable to get war points, especially with how hard it is to solo a good tank atm. But if the player was rewarded for pushing it back than there is simply no need to even destroy the tank anymore (of course, destroying it gives a nice WP bonus). IF and only IF such a WP system is implemented than AV/V debate = mostly solved.
I want tanks to be fun, but I want AV to be fun too. if tanks are too hard to kill: fun for tanks, sucks for AV if tanks are too easy to kill: sucks for tanks, fun for AV if av gets wp for damaging vehicles: fun for tanks AND fun for AV

I like the idea of getting WP for damaging tanks. I wonder how this would work. To be honest, it seems a bit iffy to me. Maybe getting a LOT more WP for destroying a TANK, from 150 (I think it's 100 or 150 right now) to 500? That way people see a tank and their mouths water. Incentive to kill the ******.
Another solution is, make the damn tanks a bit cheaper. But make them paper thin to AV so that tanks cost as much as a proto suit fully fit. Something like 250k. And then a good AV fit (mine is around 150k) can solo it. You know, something like that. My proficiency 5, and 3 dmg mods with proto swarms should be able to kill a tank. RIght now I just sigh for the wasted SP lol.
Either of these two options I'd be fine with. If your team brings a tank to the field, then my team should be able to kill you as easily with AV as you are able to kill with that god blaster. It'll cost both sides the same exact amount of money in ISK. You'll just be in a vehicle, and I'll be in my proto suit.

That said, we hot-fixed the militia fuel injector last night. And right now we're testing increased recharge times on fuel injectors and slightly reduced speed on HAVs. This is great news, I am just worried about them committing the mistake of doing it 6 months later. I'd like this if AV isn't getting a buff, because it allows AV to still be useful

I would like to see this. I tend to be the only guy on the team trying to stop the vehicles. I get two forge shots off before they drive off or fly away to recharge. I end up really helping my team out yet have almost no kills or warpoints because ive spent the match keeping the vehicles at bay. |

It would be nice to get anti shield AV at some point as well(fluxes don't count as AV =.=) I.E. Heavy laser and plasma weapons. If we get weapons good for shields we: A. Can stop trying to balance rail and explosive AV against something they aren't supposed to be effective against B. Inspire TEAMWORK! This would promote AV kill squads where one person packs anti shield AV and one person brings anti armor AV to more efficiently neutralize enemy assets.

At least give the heavy laser a name so we know you MIGHT be working on it.

But my AV grenades still don't work -_- I can't even take out a Militia LAV with 3 Advanced AV grenades.
