I killed a dude using a thales earlier. I was on a hill and he was sniping in the open from behind his team. My team was cornered and all around me, seriously I have no idea how he didnt see my main cannon aimed at him.

That's what they keep telling me, but I'm pop pop pop poppin' all the people think that they can dual tank! It's the standard Commando that's a real insult to be killed by. The Advanced variant is actually a really large threat, considering that's when it gets its slots. There's nothing more terrifying than a self-repping heavy that can resupply while carrying weapons built to kill both shield tankers and armor tankers.
Scouts are a lot more suicidal than a Commando by far, which actually reminds me of this super dramatic thing I saw a few days ago. (Story time, yay!)
So, I was in a FW, fighting the good fight (as I usually do), when something amazing (yet sad) happened. I was wearing the Commando suit and I had stormed a CRU, took it over, and was reloading my weapons when I caught the most unlikely of things walking by. It was a scout. A black scout. It wasn't a Black Eagle, that's for sure. He didn't see me, since I was strafing to keep out of the LOS. "I'll let him go," I said to myself. (You see, I have a soft spot for scouts, since I've always viewed them as "paper people" after their... fall.) I watched this guy sprint by and I realized something as I strafed a bit more. Two of my allies had made it over the hill and one crouched, the other stood next to him. They both fire and I watched the trails of both of their Rail Rifles fly and punch into the scout, his body flying backwards at the impact of that hellish armor killer. It was the most dramatic thing I've ever seen. (It was pretty cool though.)
But yeah. Commando is actually extremely useful in proper hands, especially now with the armor killing weapons. I once said 1.7 marked the rise of the Commando.
