The closer swarms got to their target, the faster they locked on.
Eve does it, maybe it could work in Dust. Of course, they'd still have a range limit (I'd put it at 200-225m).
Thoughts?

What mechanic in EVE are you talking about? Lock time in eve is all about your scan resolution and the target's signature radius.

Rockets and missiles go faster the further they get though, until they hit their top speed. It's why gyrojet guns never really took off. Too slow at close ranges. |

Add a laser pointer that speeds up lock time for swarms. We need content and gear that encourages team play not a buff that encourages solo. Have a skill that changes the lock time for swarms but also add a laser pointer so a scout can be sniping and laser pointing. Give us more skills and modules not more buffs and nerfs.
