Think of it like this - You die on the battlefield, your gear is left there. After the fight, some bugger comes along and steals your corpse for the goodies you had on you when you died.

I might as well use my prototype gear then seeing as how it's just magically disappears anyway or just don't play FW because it's just not that appealing to begin with anyway . I'm not a fanboy like most . Not one bit . Might become partial once all the races come out with personalized gear but if it's anything like what I've just experienced then I will still feel the same as I do now . This game is just loosing it's new car smell for me .

Your proto gear isn't disappearing. You might be miscalculating, or using the same item over multiple loadouts. If you have, say, Complex Armour Plates on 3 different load outs, then they all pull from the same single pool of items. You don't get 3 different pools of items.

Factional Warfare is, once the issues with it get sorted out at least, one of the best ways to get Prototype gear. The Faction Specific Prototype Gear is MUCH cheaper than regular gear. If you can keep your ISK levels high, then you can just rollface in Factional Warfare and farm LP to get yourself your Factional Suits.

I have been team killed on purpose numerous times so it has gotten to the point , where I must admit , that I don't fight hard or really try because I just don't trust the people that I am placed into a battle with . Save your advice about joining ANYTHING and such ... please . When the match is over and I have died I noticed that from the salvage they have taken prototype gear from me but I use STD gear . I just don't understand why this is happening because my thought process made me think that only the items that you used as far as gear and such was available for salvage and not some random choice of materials . That's what I've been doing from the start and getting the weapons as well as the prototype state suits . I had 50 prototype suits before that and once I seen that I thought , that would be wiser and cheaper as well . I like how you think . Yes my items are disappearing . I use STD gear during the FW matches but after the match my inventory of prototype gear decreases like shield extenders and such so I was wondering , " what gives " because I'm not using these items during these matches and I had a full stock before the fight , so that was just baffling to me .
