Why would CCP balance a unfinished product, now they'll have to rebalance twice (again in the future) wasting dev time rather then some quick hotfix. For those confused we still need: Amaar tank Minmatar tank Gallente long ranged turret Minmatar autocanon & artillary turret Amaar close & long ranged turret Gallente heavy weapon Amaar heavy weapon
The fix has used dev time that could've been used to make these then balance everything to perfection rather needing a ton more fix's to adjust accordingly to these.

This isn't a simple balance pass, it's a core philosophy change.
CCP has removed passive damage reduction and replaced it with active modules designed to make vehicle use a "wave" function. It is very powerful for a short time, then becomes vulnerable for a longer time.
It's a complete tear-down and rebuild, not a balance pass. |

Balance adjustments never stop but the core has been set here and at least when it comes to vehicles, this will not be likely to change for a long long time.
Also, since when do gallente do long range and amarr short range?

You forgot a few things. Speeders and MTACs are vehicles, and don't exist in the game yet. They also need balancing, and having them in the game will probably require a different dynamic to just LAV/HAV/Dropship/Infantry. |

Amarr tank - Yes Minmatar tank - Yes Gallente long ranged turret - Gallente are short ranged fighters, if you want a long range Hybrid turret, it's called a railgun Minmatar autocanon & artillery turret - Only if Vehicle Autocannons suck less than Infantry Autocannons...poor HMG Amaar close & long ranged turret - Amarr weapons should almost always be medium to long range. Gallente heavy weapon - Yes Amaar heavy weapon - Yes
And as someone stated before, this wasn't a re-balance, it was a change of core mechanics...and honestly the concepts themselves are really nice because they're more consistent with infantry defensive systems. Now most changes which affect simple values...those are hotfixes. For example changing the Heavy Armor Rep from 145hp/s to 120hp/s or whatever would be a hotfix. So calm down, relax.

You wont see any of those before we have racial variants of existing vehicle types, guaranteed.
