I want to support dust by buying a pack but, what's the benefit in buying a (whatever it is) pack now?
Please enlighten me.

All of the packs have AUR gear, no BPO's, and few boosters. They are nearly worthless.
Boosters are the only thing worth buying right now and even then, eeeeh.

The packs suited me perfectly when I started playing. The little BPO's and pieces of kit they give you are pretty nifty. Not to mention the original ISK deals that came included made the packs better to buy than the ISK addons.
Now, I'm not so sure. If you can afford to easily run advanced level gear at a minimum, I don't think the packs are that great. |

You can get a free Omega from getting Aurum pack, but that's all I can really contribute right now unless you are a fellow collector.

I wouldn't buy any packs until they release one that isn't a rip off.
you might be waiting awhile since the only good ones they ever had they removed. |

Please enlighten me. No "lasting" advantage now BPO's have been taken out. But I guess it works out quite a bit cheaper than buying everything in the separately, and you get extra AUR in a few of them. But your supporting the game and future updates/expansions which is always nice.

I've switched to buying the Aurum only packs and then purchase boosters. Now is a good time with the booster sale going on. I'd rather be spending $15 per month but $20 is close enough.

I know we are still in beta, but this isn't a Kickstarter.

CCP needs to realize we don't want their consumable gear packs.
They should release 4 packs (1 for each faction) that consists of Some amount of aurum A decent amount of sp boosters A couple of factional boosters 10x of each faction's gear with each having a unique skin to give it some minor collectible value (e.g. 'Honor Guard' Cal Assault ck.0 or some such)
This way we get our boosters (the thing we a really want) while the packs aren't as dull as just a booster+aurum pack.

Yep, totally agree we are still in beta and anyone who says otherwise is wearing a ruby tinted visor. But the more money fueled into this game/EvE means more developers creating more content, which is able to be released sooner.
Although I don't agree with blindly giving money, a little for a free game is nice for those who can.

No, its this weird trend called free-to-play-now-how-do-we-replace-lost-subscription-money?

It sure looks and feels like a beta, but CCP decided, for themselves, to market it as released. They have no one but themselves to blame if people judge it harshly by 'full release' standards.
As to money, I gave them plenty with the old packs. The current ones are terrible...if they come out with a $15/month subscription with decent perks, or packs with equivalent booster pricing, my money will flow again.
RDVs are a failed experiment - can't we just remove them from the game?

Boosters are the only thing worth buying right now and even then, eeeeh. This. Boosters. If you're a vet with 20+ million sp then booster are truly optional, as you prolly have multiple viable roles already.
There are the faction booster, useful for mercs like us who spend a lot of time busting Ammarian heads ;)
I quit CCP's cheezy immersion-breaking RMT store a long time ago and don't miss it. If they ever give us rollover and stop with the lame 'package deals' i'll happily go for faction boosters/sp boosters for alts.
I support SP rollover.

The standard level blueprints are the way to go. I can't see buying any more packs. I bought 20dollars in aurum and felt cheated. No more I hate getting ripped off. |
