There are only 2 lines of LAVs now and they don't even have specialized skills.
If they aren't about crazy speed, and they shouldn't have rediculous eHP, what should they be about? |

Some options:
-Turret turn speed bonuses to make them effective anti infantry/anti-tank roles.
-Turret resist bonuses for the some kind of pursuit/hunt roles against tanks.
-Scan precision/range bonuses as 'scouts'
-Shield delay/repair rate bonuses for skirmishing
-Passive armor repair rate
-Resist duration bonus
-CRU fitting cost reduction.
IOW, i'm fine with infantry AV being annoying against these now.
What if the meta was:
LAV is cheap counter to HAV is counter to infantry is counter to LAV...? |

They are suprisingly powerful when you got a gunner with a 20j ion cannon. But they should be cheap transportation.

The Methana seems to have some decent numbers for defense. I'm going to try some different fits and see just how long lived it can be.

you let me know if that works for you. i've been driving an lav since early beta, and getting chased down by tanks that either 2 hit you with a rail gun, or shoot you out of the driver seat with a blaster turret in less than a second is ridiculous. As a heavy anti-vehicle and lav driver, I've never felt so heavily nerfed as with this update. I have the day off, and lots of sp to get, but no desire to even log in right now. I'd rather masterbate for 8 hours straight. |
