Last game I was in, I was popping Caldari Logistics (which have multiplied so much since 1.7) and sentinels. It's getting pathetic to see heavies with light weapons, but it's understandable why.

We blame CCP for turning us heavies into what we are today. lack of weapons, suits and being ignored can do that to us

I'm in there as a scout. But yeah it is difficult out there.
Also tip for scouts - notice anything different when someone hacks a point now

well i did bump into a fair number of scout shotties last night, though they didnt last long against my HMG and RR

they are now using tanks cause:
1. tanks cost as much as a fully decked out proto scout
2. are faster
3. more durable, almost impossible to take out
4. deal more damage
5. have more range

I'm mostly running SG, but been trying out AR since I get severly whacked in every open area and can't stand being left out of the action. If I'm not going for the stealthy apperance, which does not work against most of the teams I end up against, since your constantly lit up like a beacon on their minimaps. |

Just came from a FW match. 15 kills, 2 assists, 9 deaths, 1090 WP.
Fitting used throughout the game:
'Dragonfly' Scout [nSv]
'Dren' Shotgun
Flux Active Scanner
Complex Light Damage Modifier
Basic Profile Dampener
Basic Cardiac Regulator
I was TK'd twice. One I know was an accident, the other was some asshat throwing grenades at me. (As if you need grenades to kill a light frame, right?)
I went through hellish rubberbanding and still came out. These PC players need to take their laggy **** somewhere else. I know that the ones doing it are compensating for lack of ability, but that's sad when a scout with shotgun has the most kills. (The next guy had 14 kills and was on the other side, followed by a 12 killer on my side.) All these RRs make my job a real pain in the ass, you know.
Scouts will never die. Scouts will always find a way. (Which is odd to say, because I consider myself a logibro first, heavy second, scout third.)

Ran logi-shotgun almost all day today in Minmatar FW.
Shotgun tends to get me a lot of deaths though...have been having a lot of fun running complex profile dampeners. People don't even see me unless they look directly at me. It's super fun to hide behind a wall waiting for that guy with the scanner to think there's nothing around the corner and BAM he's dead.
I've actually been running complex dampeners on almost all of my suits now because the extra armor layer I usually run in that slot isn't worth it when we have weapons that can kill you in two shots anyways.
I'd run shotgun more often, but there aren't enough maps that are good enough for it. If you're out in the open with a scoutgun you don't have a chance...and as a logi I don't have a sidearm to help me either. I'd use scouts if they had at least 2 equipment, but I rely too much on equipment for my shotgun setup to work.
In other games shotgun is my favorite weapon, but in this game it just doesn't have enough range, and the common low frame rate occurances make it almost impossible to use at times.

They exist, just rare.
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.
