I have driven Tanks from the beginning. It is what I enjoy the most. Not necessarily because "super OP I haz e-peen!" but just because I liked the idea of being a driver.
How is everyone building their Tanks nowadays? Hardener, Repairer, Plate for Armor Tanks? Same shtick with Shields? Are Shields and Armor Tanks (finally) comparably close enough to consider them a "do you prefer stronger for short periods or not as strong but far more often?"

Yep, I killed plenty of armor tanks with my shield tank by using blaster, railguns and missiles (which just instakill armor tanks). I think shields are a bit more survivable to infantry atm but armor tanks can fit damage amps, nitrous and scanners without sacrificing much tank.

My tank fit is gunloggi rail, heavy booster, hardener, and damage amplifier. Lows are either ammos for low tier tanks, or pg+cpu for my proto fot. Overall cost: 1mill to unlock the tank, mods and std turrets (small and large) Getting a few to proto: 6 mill.

Tanks are nicely balanced against each other in the current build. Shield or Armor, pick what-so-ever you please. Since you've been around for a long while, you probably have enough SP to max out both trees. They've been recently given a nice survivability boost, so you no longer have to hide in the red line, or run for the hills if someone has a forge gun.
The pricing for tanks have been reduced considerably, so they're everywhere now, like locusts. For the first time since I've started playing back in June, it's not only sustainable to tank as much as you want, but you can totally ignore infantry and focus on tank-busting. Anti-vehicle tank drivers are a hot property now. If you're good at killing other tankers, you can totally focus on that and make bank and WP. |

I'm currently in the process of building the ultimate passive LOLTank (why? BECAUSE I CAN).
Sica. Missile Launchers. ALL the Missile Launchers (MLT models for small, but a Standard Large because there is no MLT). 2 Heavy Shield Extenders. Missile Ammo Expansion. Light Repper.
What?
