I sometimes get that obscure proto shield enhancer, buuuuuttttt... I don't freaking shield tank!
It's better than the 10+ games of no salvage and then get a damn Core Locus Grenade and the cycle begins again.

Nope, getting the best out of my SEVR BPO fittings and standard combat rifle.
I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

I have been getting mostly crap salvage as well but I did get a black eagle which will go nicely with the many others I have from various events.
TEST signature please help me think of a better one.

i dont know why i havnt salvaged any of my own tanks in fw yet.
ive lost at least 3 per match yesterday.
any ways that isk i lost was well worth it. |

Drops are based on what the opposing team loses.

Got 1 game in, buddy got kicked for... We don't know fully.
My rewards, basic light damage mod, advanced light damage mod, complex light damage mod, 3 locus grenades. So, complex damage mod is the best I got. |

Actually, let me pop back in here. Which proto Uplink did you get? Was it a 'Void' Allotek Drop Uplink? If so, it might actually be mine.

Realy, there always tends to be complex damage mods in my salvage in PC or FW.

I did the math. Lets say you stomp the other team...
You've probably redlined them, which reduces the number of clones you'll likely kill because all the points are taken...
So lets say you've killed 100 clones. The average suit will have around 7 slots. So that's 800 items of destroyed salvage you start with. BPOs won't drop anything. Anyone running militia/dren/templar BPOs reduces your pool. This is likely a high % of the slots. So we'll say 25% of the slots are BPOs. We now have 600 items. Since you only get 25% of salvage that leaves 150 items to divide among the team 16 ways. That will mean that you'll normally only get 8-10 pieces of salvage each match.
My guess would be that people would only want to run more expensive gear if its close or they are stomping. Either way there, most of the gear will come from the bottom 20% of the team who made up 80% of the deaths running crap gear. Probably a more guaranteed method of getting better salvage gear is using more orbitals that players can't hide from. |

I got a proto rail rifle as salvage as well as several complex armor plates.

I think drops should be increased to multiples of 5, 10, and 20 depending in what it is.
