Bringing back the idea, not that 1.7 isn't great but vehicles got their awesome redesign, what about infantry!
Here's what I'm thinking, we should get a wide variety of melee weapons, not just more knives, what about a warhammer that deals splash damage? Or a big ass sword to cut tanks in half? For that matter how about a shield? No I don't think these are impractical, they may not be as useful as a gun but damned if I wouldn't use em for ***** and giggles, everyone thought the plasma cannon was a piece of crap but people still use them and do it well.

Shield could be a heavy-slot weapon, since those guys are complaining about their lack of options anyway.
With a 'nova katana' it'd make a melee weapon for every size. |
