I'm in the middle of downloading and still have a while. Not seeing too much about the FGs on the forums. Anyone have an opinion on how they are now compared to 1.6? I need to mentally prepare myself if I am going to be too sad. lol

They're slower to charge and don't hit as hard.
Notably, tanks also have less HP for you to try and chew through though, so there is that.
If you hear the words "WORTH IT!" look about, something hilarious just happened.

you won't hit them, you might still be able to hit drop ships but I doubt it.

They're fine. I was popping vehicles left and right with my Wiyrkomi (I think that's how it is spelled). Just wait for their hardeners to drop then blap 'em.

Useless, it takes 3 shots with an unmodded STD FG to down a MLT fit LAV, 4 shots to take out a stationary turret, 5 shots to take out an armor tank (thats assuming he hasnt loldashed out of view with it's faster-than-LAV speed or popped it's 40-60% god mode tanking) I havent seen a dropship go down since 1.7 hit other than accidental crashes and bad drivers. AV Grenades are deterents and mean very little harm unless thrown by the mass.
You'll need at least 2-3 AV buddies to down HAVs and dropships at a reasonable pace (preferably prototype with complex damage mods). Dont expect to get anything done by yourself unless you have the absolute advantage, even then thats a stretch since it only takes them 5 seconds to cross the entire map..
With that being said, have fun and keep an open mind. |
