Its a bit better I hear but a stream of missiles or a rail tank will still see a quick end to you if you get caught in their crosshairs.

I played today after respending my 2 mill SP back into Caldari ADS.
Loved the handling.
Then I put my bit of remaining points into the Gal ship.
Loved the handling.
Also on both, the camera view feels pretty good (though wtf CCP has against just making the damn ship semitransparent is beyond me).
The problem is, specifically: Tanks. when I started 4 months ago, people joked about DS's being flying coffins. I found that true at low levels, but got better, and then rarely died to enemy fire. I mean, my K/D was pretty funny to look at, but I could help the team.
Now? at one point, a tank with a BLASTER (You know the "short range anti infantry" turret?), started shooting me, I flew by, figuring, ok, no worries. I was being hit on the other side of the map. It was not that small a map. He stripped away roughly 4k worth of shields.
OK, I could cope with that, I have modules...oh, wait. For some reason, assault dropships have FOUR FREAKING MODULE SLOTS. WHAT THE HELL.
So with my complex shields, complex shield regen, and advanced missile launcher...I did...no joke, now...no damage to the tank. I hit him directly several times a bit later (before getting shot the f down so hard, but that was my bad play, there), and watched it just be ignored. Wish I could record this, but the fact is, flat out now, that I have spent many, many hours learning how to fly effectively, millions of ISK and SP, and...I can get pasted with a speed that defies logic. My alternative is to wander the skies. I had some fun dogfights, but ultimately, every time, tanks decided the game. And I had a pretty elite squad beating on them, too, it just didn't matter.
I am bummed, but I'm probably mothballing my ships until somethign resembling balance happens, or I see some skilled ADS pilots show me how it's done.
Hi! Gosh, I've missed you...with every bullet, plasma shot, rail gun, and missile.
