The charged sniper rifle has a great sound effect now, and the "ponk" of the inertial dampeners from falling suits is really great. The RR have a nice sound, although they seem too similar to the AScR, maybe they could tweak one or the other slightly to give them a bit more identity/personality. The one sound I hate though is the end-of-match one as the points are tallied up. It sounds like an alarm clock going off in the distance. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the sound design. Is it CCPSoundwave that deserves all the credit?

Soundwave? What is CCPSoundwave doing working on the sounds of DUST? Or did you just pick his name *because* .....? |

I thought maybe he worked on both games, I mean it's not like EVE is adding all that many sounds each expansion, and I know the DUST team is pretty lean. You're right though, I really have no idea what I'm talking about.

CCP Soundwave does not work on audio. He was the lead game designer of EVE for a while, but he is on his way out (might have already left) and is heading to work for riot games
But i agree with the OP, some of the new sounds are great. Not a big fan of the after match progress bar updating 'sound' but the weapons are excellent.

I greatly dislike the sound of the various bars filling up at the end of match screen, especially when it glitches out and perpetually sounds like...whatever the hell it sounds like >_<
