I play Amarr, my equipment is strictly Amarr-orientated. I always play facitonal warfare because I like to have some sense of purpose in the game. Pre-1.7 I would earn about 250k, and spend between 0-200k, so I profitted from it.
However now since we get much less ISK, and the loyalty points are only awarded in subsidising frequency if we win... and furthermore since Amarr basically lose 90% of F/W matches, F/W is no longer viable for me.
I'm sorry, I cannot play factional warfare any more, I lose more than I earn and there's nothing I can do about it.

... Have you missed that threadnaut started by those scions solely for Amarr FW? Join PIE Ground Control chat channel, and play with them. Sheesh, ye of little faith.

Of course you can, I run pubs once a week to farm ISK, I can afford to run FW most of the time.
Plus the more we Amarr FW squad up the less we die, proven fact.....

I can't play Faction Warfare anymore because apparently killing one person in an orbital is too much. He probably could of survived too if he knew to run away even from friendly orbitals
But I'd say just wait until you get to Level 10 in standing, you'll be getting LP is crazy amounts even if you lose.

But really, I hear you. Since I play Min exclusively it is hard not to notice Amarr is frequently the losing side.

I'll show you how to do this properly.
Go to pubs, farm ISK.
Find a proper squad or HIRE one (I am available for hire even if you are Amarr scum)
Win @ FW.
