Yep, damage to your self or your own stuff may seem to be counting toward the damage limit. Which is certainly not how it should work.
As you crashed your tank, it most likely went over the 5k FF limit and it kicked you.

That is BAD. I know its a total of 5000 dmg to team, but to yourself?.... That must be fixed. This situation will arise a lot. I don't know how many times I jumped from a Dropship after being shot down and got -75 SP for destroying it. I can see this situation happening as well.

I've been doing pretty good avoiding friendly fire, drop one OB that kills one friendly and I get kicked. Has to be because of added up damage, ridiculous.
