As soon as I heard of the sticky remote explosives I knew exactly what it entailed. This method isn't new, maybe to Dust it is. Anyway, I logged in today speccing back into tanks because this is my alt and I honestly don't care xD
Surprised to find that tanks are actually stronger than they were pre 1.7, a specific build I found repaired my armor 300 hp/s passively, at all times, made me as fast as a LAV via Complex Fusion Accelerator (whatever they call it now). Ran into proto AV all day long and none could solo me.
Tanks fights was more like 2 fats guys sparring with corn dogs, the winner being the one that beats the other to a mutilated, bloody pulp with such a soft, squishy weapon. In other words, tank fights will either end in AV finishing one of them off or one of the two running away with ALOT of time to react to how slowly their health was decreasing, slowly but surely.
So yeah, tanks OP (not to mention almost as cheap as a militia tank pre 1.7), AV over nerfed, everything needs another look. I haven't even touched the the funniest part yet.
Despite how unkillable tanks seem, they can and ARE being insta killed by Remote explosives being strapped onto a BPO LAV, with a BPO driver coming of out BPO nowhere. All of the isk variants, plus the Aurum variants slapped on the hood of everyone's favorite ride, then switch suits to a BPO suit in a supply depot, hop in and floor it towards the tank. This is called a Bunker Buster (at least by me, seemed fitting).
You can flank if you want, but I've found that the blaster turrets are pretty weak against other vehicles atm, and probably won't kill the LAV before it makes contact.
I brought this to everyones attention for the sole purpose that everyone WILL eventually find out and I'm tired of the whole process taking so damn long:

I personally find it hilarious and would have no remorse over using it. Its funny, effective, and best of all, free (isk wise, KDR will suffer slightly).
I would give some moral speech right about now about blueberrys taking the fight to the OP tankers and reign a new age, but its not a new age. Same old bull $%^# repackaged and labled balanced

Indeed they do, learned that one the hard way.
Also, you don't remove them, you get out and recall it before the person holding the detonator notices and pray he doesn't. |
