Just last night I was doing really well and absolutely loving the game, and then this morning I got on to play excited about everything.
I got my first few kills with a combat rifle and got excited that it was the one weapon that I've always been waiting for. The dropship pilot in my squad was happy, everything was going alright.
And then it hit. The frame rate started dropping slowly at a steady rate. Equipment spam was turning the battlefield into a nightmare that I couldn't play in. The flashy light effects, the constant point counter going off above my head. It all added up until my frame rate dropped to less than one per second.
I just...I can't anymore. I can't play a game like this if flashy effects are more important than user experience. Every batttle I play ends up giving me poor preformance. When I shoot at a player my game freezes for a second before actually letting me shoot again. My character sprints slowly forward sometimes, glitching back and forth. Half of my shots don't even register, my trigger presses don't work every time.
The only time this has ever happened to me before was in PC matches, and now it has plauged pub matches as well.
Why? Why must this happen? I'm using the most recent PS3 out right now (super slim), I have detail effects low, heck I even tried playing a few matches without voice chat or anything else that could be possibly creating this issue and it still happened. Every time.
I don't know if I'll be able to deal with this...I'd have to change my entire playstyle, my whole strategy, my gungame, everything. To relearn it all, it's like the months I've spent playing have been for nothing. Everything I've worked towards and spent skill point in are all for things that I won't be able to use anymore.

Shayz, it's patch day man. Give it a week, especially now that there is preformance and crash data reports going out. You'll be back in the in no time

In FW there was some real lag for the entire time... very hard to play with.
Nothing new so far.
If you're an hacker, a cheater o a glitcher, you deserve death. In real life.

1. This is patch day. What else did you actually expect on this day?
2. The first week is the most active part of every patch deployment since everyone will be complaining of problems.
3. Expect hot fixes during the first week.
OK, CCP. When are knives finally going to be improved?

I've always played patch day and it has never been THIS bad. I obviously expected glitches and the like, but not something so game-breaking as this.
