I have about 1.5M unspent SP. I'm about .4M from proto GalScout, and I'm well over what I need for proto GalLight. Should I spend it on one of these, or keep pouring into my core skills/weps and using my BPO Dragonfly Scouts (which, honestly, are working well for me). I have gob-tons of ISK, and I'm truly at an impasse here. Thanks in advance.
Big red button that respecs your SP on demand.
Protos only get points from killing protos.

Just remember that the Scout Gk.0 is mainly used as a infiltrator or recon which is in stark contrast to what the Scout Mk.0 is for. If you're going for the Scout Gk.0, then you better have at least one of the following skills maxed out as well beforehand.
A) Level 5 Profile Dampening B) Level 5 Range Amplification
If you go for A then you gain the advantage of maxing out the Scout Gk.0 against the proto scanners which means that you now become practically invisible to even the most powerful scanners.
If you go for B then you gain the advantage of having a passive early warning system of nearby enemies without alerting them to your presence. You'll be able to decide where and how to engage which is a rare luxury among mercs.
But if you are still not sure, then you can never go wrong with maxing out the core skills like engineering, electronics, dropsuit upgrades, etc. Anything that can improve how much you can fit on the limited BPO suit that you have.
OK, CCP. When are knives finally going to be improved?

Where are you at with your core skills? Armor, shields, and such? If you choose to put the skills into your suit I would go fir gal light 3 and then at least lvl 4 for gal scout. No need to put gal light frame to 5, its just a waste of sp. |

I suggest the minmitar logi suit or the amarr assault suit.

I have found that ADV is better overall then proto. lack of proper slots, hinders the scout rather then help. Your doing well with your BPO then Proto can wait. MAX out your cores. shield extenders. CPU and PG. armor. dampners.
Then go for weapons. IMO OHK weapon work well with the scout. but max them out. MAX OUT RE!
Finally go for abilities.. hacks, speed, so forth.
I really find no need to bring out my proto, even against pub stomping proto's. My Tekkaman adv scout suit kills em just fine. |

The thing I like about the Dragonfly scout is if you fill it with all militia gear (but I can't help it. I put a complex shield), it's really disposable.

You play scout?
The only help you need is medical.
In seriousness: core skills are always always worth the investment. Primarily because they're the least satisfying to level up and it's better for your sanity not to have to level them up later on when the weapons you've never used before start beckoning.
No.

I guess it's better to max out all core skills first. That way, you'll not only be able to fit your BPO suit more effectively but you'll also be able to make proto pubstompers scream bloody murder when your militia 'Exile' assault starts wrecking their suit.
OK, CCP. When are knives finally going to be improved?

I concur with this wisdom, 3 is all you need at the moment focus on core skills
