I said it. They're far more useful.
They clear a path for my SMG. They zap equipment from hard to reach places and through walls. They injure vehicles.
They even make a cooler noise.

Their anti-equipment feature is so much more reliable that using locus. My only suit that isn't equipped with flux are my anti-vehicle suits.

I go through my spurts where I switch between locus and fluxes. The grass is always greener.
Also, what else is there to talk about? :D

I love flux for clearing objectives of any hidden REs...
Because my usual logibro has a massive hard-on for REs and makes me paranoid by association. I'll never shoot at a derplink or nanohive close-by due to his shinanigans of putting REs on or under everything...

Shhhhhhh!
You'll encourage some shield tanking slayerlogi scrub to create an alt, drop some SP into grenadier 1 and go **** slap Academy newbs with them.
After which, he'll come to the forums and cry "I HAVE PROOF FLUX 'NADES R OP!!!!!!!" proceeding to create a thread where he links screenshots claiming that the flux nades carried him to phenomenal wins over guys with less than a couple days in.

I hate threads like that...
I have an alt, created with no skill points spend in anything (Over a million now just saved), nor any isk spent, and even out of the academy with an Amarr Medic has a positive KDR and is in the top-half of my (winning) team's leaderboard...
So obviously this means that not only do new players have no chance in this game, but also that militia ARs and SMGs need to be nerfed hardcore, or nanoinjectors, or maybe the grenades How about amarr in general, clearly...

Standard level, I'd agree with you, but M1-Cores are better for combat.
Even at -20% effectiveness, they can do 320-480 damage to shields, respectively, which is all you'll really need for respective tier suits; the can actually kill, giving you an extra weapon on top of your primary and secondary (good for logis because they only have a primary); though it's frowned upon, they can be spammed for crowd control to great effect.
Fluxes are good for mass drivers and counter equipment spam, and can be used to help curb teamkilling (though with the damage kicking mechanic I'm still hesitant to bring them in), but that's about all they excel at.

Grenades are my sidearm on my Logi suits. I need killing power in order to start an engagement or end one so Locus grenades are my go-to in most situations.

This is exactly why I carry flux grenades. I've seen too many people too eager for the points running straight up to an objective or uplink/hive and getting blown sky high.
I'm sorry, but you've ruined the emperor's groove.

I always flux objectives.
Flux are also great distractions for knifers.. I'll carpet bomb an area with flux nades at advancing squads and use that as a distraction to flank them. I also will run towards my own flux carpet bombs knowing that they are either driving my prey to where I need them to be to get stabbed, or they will be there shieldless giving me a better shot at CQC success. They are kind of the flashbombs of dust.
