Amarr Faction warfare.
It was a very close game. I'm a little drunk (I work nights, so it's okay) and end up going 19/10.
The game ends with my team losing. The clone counts were close, and the MCC's health were close.
So what's interesting about that? It was the leaderboards. My teams TOP 6, had higher WPs than the enemy team. Our #1-6=1905 - 1410. Enemy #1-6= 1360 -760.
Moral of the story? LOL WP. |

There is a very easy explanation to this. War points are rewarded upon action, and there are only so many actions that can occur during the time span of a single match. Thus, if you get a ton of war points that means you are picking up the slack for someone else. What happened in this specific situation is your top 6 players all hap to pick up the slack for a large lot of blueberries on your team who weren't contributing, while the enemy team was more well rounded and thus won.

I have seen the Ammarians engaged in a wide range of tactically weak WP farming actions. Nothing to see here except the futility of group followers when they are challenged by the innovative and free thinking Minmatar.

I take great pleasure from those games where the winning side posts nothing but crap scores, and the losers post a column of respectable KDRs. It's not that common, but it's not super-rare either.

Eh, not really. Well I mean, there is a more specific explanation to what happened.
My blueberries did not know how to push an objective. We were so close to cloning them, however (due to lack of communication) we could not delegate some of our forces to the (two objective) city in order to save the MCC. It was a good game with, I would have to say, slightly smarter than average blueberries.
However, they did not know how to push.
So I, with my uplink fit, solo'ed the city in hopes that blueberries would spawn on my uplinks and give me support. Everytime I would capture an objective in the city, 8 dudes would spawn behind me. |

So I suppose that the TRUE moral of the story is that there is some very obscure statistic that is derivative of MANY variables. And not just Addition BS. But with imaginary numbers and square roots and exponents and and such.

Because your blueberries didn't know how to push, the points they would of gotten from pushing were rewarded to those 6 guys at the top who did and picked up the slack for them. However, it was not enough.

This may be the case. But I cannot say for sure.
All I can say is that it was a hard fought battle, with slightly smarter than average blueberries. |

I don't know if you saw my post where I posted both teams 7-16 wp count. But it appears that our team did much better in WP than the other, nearly across the board. Only 4 people (I still have the "LAST BATTLE" screen pulled up) on the enemy team marginally beat their respective leaderboard rival.
Perhaps, there is a more obscure statistic that measures the ability to push objectives at the right time but it's probably too complicated so this thread is pointless. nvm. |

There is a big difference between being effective with proto and failing utterly with it

You can generate a ton of WP from uplinks, but it doesn't mean you're doing a good job. It sounds like you had a good match though.
