I have been trying it out. It is better than expected.
It actually solves the biggest problem that Gallante Assaults face, explosives. I can usually take 3-4 blasts from an MD before having my shields down.
It also solves the biggest issue that Shield Tankers have. I can now take a couple extra shots from the AR and Scrambler Rifle, as well as shrug off flux grenades.
Last but not least it looks a lot better than that crab/bird abomination called the Amarr medium frame...
Anybody else armor tank the Caldari Assault/basic dropsuit?
Madness is the emergency exit. You can just step outside, and close the door on all those dreadful things that happened.

On my caldari proto assault
3 complex shields
1 complex damage mod
1 enhanced reactive plate
1 basic plate
1 enhanced regulator
Duvolle
Toxin smg
Or I swap it up for quicker regen by fitting an energiser instead of the damage mod, either way I play hit and run with it and its great

JK I use one enhanced regulator and one enhance ski cat with 4 complex shield.

Ironically it is better at dual tanking then the assault MK.0. However, I strictly run shields on mine.
If you never heard of ReGnYuM, you're neither Good or Relevant in Dust 514.

The thread should be titled does anyone shield tank their caldari assault anymore because 95% of the people i see wearing it have just as much if not more armour than shields. I will still run my regs though. |

This is unfortunately all my sp will allow for now... I do fairly well with it quite frankly

I hope it works by simply applying then removing an armour mod repeatedly in the fitting screen, nuff babies lol
