So as we know alot of the vet players are leaving the game due to fatigue and fustration. Which means competition between corps is hard to find (Usually the same vet corps fighting each other), and although fighting vet corps is really entertaining at times, it's just getting more & more stale! I do think the concept behind pfc was good but execution wasn't as intended. This was mainly because of mis-communication between vet corps. Generally planetary fight club just isn't enough anymore. So what i thought could be a good idea is weight divisions or soccer/ english divisions.
Each planet would have seperate divisions. With division 1 being the power houses & division 6 being entry level coporations. after ever 2 weeks or so two teams will get promoted and relegated from each division. This solves problems of isk farming and fighting the same competition, it also allows newer corps to progress if good enough or relegated or removed if not good enough so they could re think tactics and fight more suitable corps that are around there level of experience!
Now I agree this will be extremely hard to make happen but seeing new corps enter the pc stage would be better for the long evity of the game. Additionally there are corps out their with potential to do well but they either have to launch attacks against corps who have tons more experience or against corps with too many clones.
This may or may not make sense, writing this while hungover probably isn't the best idea. |

It doesn't even need to be results based because lets say if there's a planet with 12 districts and AE, O.H, RND, ANON, Nyain & Pradox are on their each corp will start off with 2 districts. Whoever wins that division is the corp with the most district on that planet at the end of the fortnight. Now to make it even better there should be no alliances or blue-ing up to make competition even better also its stop one corp being bullied by all 5 other corps. |

My idea requires a complete change to pc.
Remove it and then when its re introduced it will have eve corps owning districts and building surface infrastructure, they'd hire us to attack or defend, we can gain standings with eve corps for fighting for them, maybe better standings allows to use items from their hangar like suits and guns etc, better standings unlocks higher tiers and of course the eve corp would need to be buying/manufacturing these items but that's optional for them.
Timers would be set by jump timers, yes its not cosy but it'd actually make pc a real time persistent thing, not magical timers.
This would actually bring pc into eve, implementing on what we have now I believe would just make a bigger polished turd out of the turd we have now.
I know there's many reasons people wouldn't like this but so far those reasons have purely been because people want it cosy and don't actually want it to be more real time or simply think that what we have now is actually good.
The biggest jokers to me are the people who ask that we are given the ability of sovereignty, they have no idea whatsoever.
If we implemented my idea, there would be no problem unlocking space to fight over beyond mh and ccp could start adding sprinkles to it.
Adding anything to what we currently have would just be a sprinkled sht sandwich
Ps. All corps would be refunded their clones worth of isk from all their districts.

I sold my wife and kids to the Amarr for isk, its a valid tactic.

One reason that there's not much action in PC outside of the vet corps is that there aren't as many battles on PFC as there could be. A problem with PFC basically since the start is that there is no incentive for anybody to attack. Corps with PFC districts lose clones they could otherwise sell if they attack, while indie corps without PFC districts aren't allowed to take districts there. As a result 50%+ of PFC districts are routinely at full clones.
PFC would work better if it was a live fire zone for corps that aren't ready for MH proper. Anyone could flip a district there provided:
1. They didn't own any districts in MH proper. 2. They didn't already own a PFC district. 3. They didn't use any ringers (not sure if alliance members should count).
This way PFC would operate more like the 'fight club' ideal:
- Indie corps outside of PFC would have a strong incentive to attack as it would be the one way they could take a district without the threat of immediately losing it to a vet corp. - Because of that PFC would be more self-regulating (no need for AE or whoever to come along and say 'use your clones or lose your district'). - District ownership would be decided by battles between indie corps, rather than by 'the powers that be'. - As districts could be flipped the stakes would be higher, so it would give a truer PC experience than current PFC. |
