Currently equipment has limits on how many of each kind can be deployed but these limits are easily circumvented by deploying different types of uplinks or nanohives.
So surely the simplest solution is to make those limits apply to all types for each player.
At the moment if you're using a nanohive that you can have 2 of active at once, if you put down a third nanohive of that type, the first placed one expires. The same should apply to nanohives with different limits; i.e. if you place a new nanohive, which you can have 3 of active, all three stay deployed but if you place 2 of these new nanohives, the first of the originally deployed ones expires - you can only have 3 nanohives active in total. However, if you then go to deploy a nanohive that can only have one active at a time, all other previous nanohives expire.
Simply put, you can only have active in total up to the limit of the last deployed piece of equipment, regardless of meta level or type or if you've changed suit. How is this complicated? Fix it like this now please.

Sure you could fix it but how would that change help gameplay?
They will just leave it as is, regardless of how you complain.

Exactly what I said, make it equipment based, not level based, it will kill the spamming dead. !

They will just leave it as is, regardless of how you complain. It would help gameplay mostly due to the lag reduction but also because piles of triage nanohives make people virtually invulnerable and even a couple of fluxes won't get them all and no matter how many enemy uplinks you destroy, there is always another one just behind that other box and corner and under the stairs and on that roof and in that guys butt... you get the idea.

A person sitting on a pile of nanohives is incredibly easy to kill. Core Locus Grenade x1 and carry on with your day, also has the nice effect of +5 x Number of NanoHives in the stack. Most proto Logis will normally not stack them in this way, it is a waste of supplies and helps little when the people on the hives move to the next objective they are assaulting. I like to be able to have more than 3 active nano hives at once. If I go from one area of the map where I have dropped hives to the next section where I have hives I can resupply at both locations without needing a trip to the supply depot, which has already been destroyed by the enemy tank or some swarming idiot. Train fluxes, use fluxes, they OHK equipment. If you are still having lag problems toss a flux, it works for me every time.

Yes - I agree to the need for limitations as it's plain stupid to have to have legion of slightly different suits just for different variations of EQ.
No - to the exact method of fixing proposed here. Having three active EQs and losing them all by deploying a single lesser one doesn't feel right.
Simpler way would be just to let STD EQs have imaginary 'slot 1', ADV to have 'slot 2' and PRO '3' correspondingly. STDs would fill only the slot 1 and nothing else, ADV would start from 1 and then fill 2. So, having PRO EQ with limitation of three would fill them all up and that's it.
May be a bit hard to explain. I might try again later.
(the numbers can be tweaked up, tho)
Feeling the scanner is too simple and off balance?
The fix:
