The SMG is a full auto weapon. So why does it have both a Standard variant, an Assault variant, and a Breach variant? Shouldn't the Standard be either Breach or Assault because those are the two full auto variants? It's minor as hell I know, but it's been eating at me for months now. It's not like we have an Assault Assault Rifle or a Tactical Scrambler Rifle, that's just what the weapon IS... or does that naming scheme only apply to rifles?

WOO RAMBLING! I see what you're getting at, but it's different for sidearms. The assault Scrambler Pistol is better than the Scrambler pistol, and the Assault SMG is better than the normal SMG.
The HMG has it too, but there aren't enough Heavy weapons for me to draw comparison. I always assumed the Forge and Pistol Standard variants were both Tactical because of the single shot fire pattern.
Wait, there isn't a Breach HMG is there? ... but I find it hard to believe the HMG is Breach... but it makes abit of sense 0_o.

I wish there wasn't Adbanced or Proto anything myself. Feels stupid to my EVE-based mind where there are just variants, but I suppose it is too ingrained in DUST to be done away with now :c
