TL/DR- This is not a QQ but more of a call for a longer focus on one aspect of the game at a time, as its stand with as many open ends as there are, CCP is going to be operating on a QQ basis / pay attention to the squeaky wheel because of how many doors they have left open.
I don't think I"m the first one to point this out, but CCP seems to get excited with implementing the start of something then gets bored with the details and moves onto something else, leaving the game full of half way completed ideas (though I am hoping this might be changing as evident of the vehicle v av work).
The Heavy frames should be the poster child for this issue with Sentinels having a racial for a non existent weapon to the Commando with its unknown higher isk cost without anything addressing their problems, which brings me to the next fact. Currently we have so many gaps in suits and waiting for CCP to finish the stuff they start can be tough especially if you are not wasting SP on suits you don't want to prevent giving CCP a headache by crying for a respec later but on the other hand being stuck in bpo or basic suits for 2 years or so is tough, yet theses are things that have been in the game for quite some time.
Now recent open fronts include FW 2.0 has marked the start of another venture that needs completion, namely speaking the P2P Market, also redoing AV v Vehicles will require a couple more patches to balance, though I consider the Vehicle/AV a possible start in the right direction.
Thy biggest thing for dust is filling the old gaping holes and making sense with establishing real utility for whats in the game (or else why have them at all?). Everything else pales in comparison.
I bring this up now because while new rifles and fw 2.0 are nice, they really are, but they don't address the most basic issue of function and utility. Again the AV v Vehicle change is a different aspect and follows in line to what I would want to look for in a patch, I'm just hoping that 1.7 is starting a trend of fixing the long residing issues with the game vs more half way ideas.
