Races are different from factions.
There are 12 different races, three for each of the four factions involved within Factional Warfare.
Gallente (Jin-Mei, Intaki, Gallente)
Caldari (Deteis, Civire, Achura)
Minmatar (Brutor, Sebiestor, Vherekior)
Amarr (True Amarr, Ni-Kunni, Khanid)
The difference is quite crucial

Caldari is the race, Caldari State is the faction.
A real life example would be that Dutch are the people, but Netherlands is the country, that's what I'm pointing out here.
