for 2 reasons, it can't stay in uprising forever and the devblog about 1.7 is called Onwards to Uprising 1.7 and not continuing as Uprising 1.7 and beyond. So they got rid of the beyond because uprising may not have a beyond

I've heard a CCP dev make a reference to Uprising 1.9, however that could just be to fool with us and he may really mean [New Expansion Name] 1.1, that is assuming Uprising 1.7 is the last of Uprising then what we would of called Uprising 1.8 is instead [New Expansion Name] 1.0.
I like to hope.

I assume four things:
2.0 late spring or early summer
New name
Respec
all or most suits, weapons and vehicles implemented.

Uprising 2.0 will be the same thing as [New Expansion Name] 1.0, if you want to look at it that way.
